PROJECT EVALUATION
The whole project was about to create a model to running a business based on the game Roller Coaster tycoon. I was running a park in Roller Coaster Tycoon named Vanilla Hill, and created profit out of number of guests and other attraction. I had use publicity media, including the poster, leaflet, and other to encouraging visitors to go to my park and pay. In addition, the project teaching us how to manage loss and profit to running a success business by publicity media and the goal is to increasing the number of guests.
To running a good business, we need to do this:
Create Publicity:
I created a discount poster and an information leaflet to let the guests to go to the parks.
Use feedback to increase product:
I always fixing my work in the parks and I use the feedback from the internet is and change of some of my mistake.
Develop loss and profit:
I create Excel to test out the profit and loss based on the number of guests.
Use goal seek:
I use to goal seek to guests if I have 450 guests what is my profit should be. In generals, I follow the step and turn the work in the due time. I use the design cycle, in which my problem is to increase the number of guests, my ideas it to create a plan and a map also discount map and leaflet, and a model. Then I writing an evaluation and use voice thread to have feedback.
Poster:
To create a poster to tell about the park, first we have to tell about some of the idea park as well as the audience of the poster-included family (Parent, and kids). I also create the logo that has the name of the park it to presents the park. I also added the address, the fax number, and the discount, prices. While I doing it I have, learn many skills like how to use the Paint. Net where I could edit image and using the magic wand to delete the park that I do not want to have in my poster, add text and color. After all I could improve by add more image, text, and information.
Leaflet:
The second is also to public Vanilla Hills. I have stretch the map of Vanilla Hills at first. My audience still families, my leaflet include four page information images of the parks and a company logo, detail, and prices, a map. Doing this help me to learning how to use Publisher, setting up booklet, change border, also I use Pain.Net to change the color of my images and size of it to make it more beautiful. Next time, I can improve by redoing the map and write more information like the fax number and prices…
Financial Model:
I use the financial model to manage the park profit and loss based on the number of guests. To create a financial model in have to use the skill like how to use the formula, =sum, the if statement, conditional formatting, I have present in voice thread. So after all this project help me to managed a business. I think I have learn how to use Excel and Paint.Net . So next time I should managed my time better because it will help me in the future.
